Finning (Canada) Launches New Website

Finning (Canada) is proud to present our new and improved website. We have been working very hard to provide our customers with a great user experience by providing much needed functionality and taking useability to heart.

The result is that we’ve made some great strides in providing new functionality previously unavailable on Finning.ca and enhancing functionality where it would make the most impact, here are the highlights!

Search

Finning (Canada) has a mountain of information available to customers, all of which would be useful in the right circumstances. Previously, we had limited success in providing an easy way for customers to find information on a specific topic. However by implementing a fully functional search on the website, hard to find resources, even information embedded in documents or “buried deep” in the website are only a few keystrokes away. Search results are quick, accurate and easy to navigate making your visit to Finning.ca a productive and enjoyable one.

Locations / Branch Information

With representation in over 60 communities, finding your local Finning (Canada) branch should be quick and easy. With our new Branch map, you can find address and contact information on a specific branch both quickly and with ease. For our customers convenience, we have licensed Google Maps ™ technology to provide accurate (in most municipalities) road information, making planning your next trip to a Finning (Canada) branch / facility efficient and easy.

Machine Catalogue

Finning (Canada) is the world’s largest Caterpillar dealer; we sell, service and support nearly the full line of Caterpillar products. Having said that, keeping tabs on all the features, specification and benefits of the different lines and families of equipment can be a daunting task. Previously we provided equipment information in a non standard fashion which made comparing equipment specifications a difficult task at times. The new machine search / catalogue function makes it easier by standardizing the equipment information that a customer will see. Additionally, we’ve made steps to ensure that equipment information is always up to date.

Organization of information

Hard to navigate sites and “buried” content really detracts from a positive experience. Finning (Canada) has acknowledged this and has restructured existing site content to be more logically organized. The menu’s have also been optimized to support the new focus on properly organized information.
