New Power Systems Facility
October 29, 2009
The staff of Edmonton Power Systems have settled into their new building, and service operations manager Gary Coles says the branch has never been more efficient.
“This facility truly makes Edmonton Power Systems a one-stop-shop for builds, overhauls, tests, and painting,” Gary says.
Located at in Edmonton’s west end behind Finning’s parts distribution branch, the new Power Systems building is a model of cleanliness and contamination control, featuring:
- Exhaust reels in every bay of the electrical power generation (EPG) shop
- Wider doors allow for even the largest machines to be brought inside
- Sealed floors to keep dust out of the shops—and your engines
The EPG shop is also equipped with a state-of-the-art lube system that inputs information directly onto the parts computer, and a grinding and buffing room for engine overhauls. The disassembly shop features wireless cranes with a 24-tonne lifting capacity and the ability to synchronize with each other.
New to Edmonton Power Systems is a painting room. “It ensures any engine leaving the shop looks as good as new,” Gary says. And, as in all Finning locations, the work done at our new Power Systems branch is backed by our Customer Service Commitment.
The new Edmonton Power Systems building is located at 17330 109 Ave. For more information, call 780-443-7500.
