Calgary crushes cars for United Way
January 4, 2010
Raising money for the United Way and running over cars with a D8: the two went hand-in-hand at Finning’s Calgary branch.
Employees raised $1,581 for the United Way of Calgary by hosting the annual Family Fun Day on November 15. There was food galore, a silent auction, inflatable jumping houses for the kids, but the highlight for everyone was the dramatic car crushing.
Two cars were ground into the dirt with a D8 tractor, with Hanna Akel behind the controls for the first round and Jamey Yates leading the second.
