Finning Helps Teck Coal Ramp Up Production
February 2, 2011
Teck Coal in Sparwood is expanding its operations, with a little help from Finning.
Two Caterpillar 797s destined for Teck’s Fording River mine are currently being built, and Finning’s Sparwood branch manager Steve Parry says his team is dedicated to helping Teck step up its production.
“This production increase has been part of Teck’s plan since 2009. As an effect of our partnership, Finning will be right there with them,” he says.
With the production increase and new equipment order comes an increased need for technicians to help service Teck’s growing fleet.
Finning is actively recruiting heavy equipment technicians and apprentices to Sparwood and many other locations. For more information, please see our job postings.
