Slave Lake Finning Employees Safe

May 16, 2011

Slave Lake Finning Employees SafeThousands have been evacuated from Slave Lake as extremely high winds continue to fuel a wildfire burning through the northern Alberta town.

Two Finning resident mechanics and one resident salesperson live and work in Slave Lake along with 13 employees at The Cat Rental Store. All employees and their families managed to evacuate safely, but several homes have been severely damaged or destroyed. The status of the local Cat Rental Store is unknown at this time.

“Right now we’re pleased to report that all our employees and their families are safe,” says Finning Canada president Dave Parker. “Making sure they get what they need to make it through this situation is our first priority.”
