Finning’s service abilities just got a whole lot smarter.
That’s because Finning Canada has acquired the rights to sell and service Trimble Heavy and Highway (H&H) machine control and monitoring products. Trimble is Caterpillar’s global technologies joint venture partner in construction and other industries.
SITECH Western Canada Solutions Ltd. will sell and support both Trimble and Caterpillar machine control systems along with Trimble's portfolio of connected site solutions:
- site positioning systems
- construction asset management services
- software and wireless and internet-based site communications infrastructure.
“There’s nothing like sitting in a dozer and having the blade adjust on its own because the system is doing it for you. Customers need this precision because if they have to move dirt twice, they’re losing money,” says Alex Docherty, SITECH director.
These products are designed for all makes, so SITECH will be providing solutions for Deere, Hitachi, Komatsu and Volvo equipment as well as Caterpillar.
