VIMSwireless
Caterpillar's VIMSwireless is a technology that allows the customer to transfer VIMS data through a wireless link between the truck and the office, and analyze that data on an individual or fleet-wide basis. The system uses a wireless radio network to transmit important payload and event information from the truck to the office. Production data, such as payload and cycle times, and machine health data are stored in a database which can be accessed by office personnel at any time. VIMSwireless provides customers with the knowledge necessary to make decisions critical to the productivity of their operation, and helps lower their cost per ton.
